All our apartments under the name “Alfred’s Apartments”, “Alfred’s Studios” and “Alfred’s Premium” are run by the Icelandic company called “Ráðagerði ehf” and we owe the website https://alfreds.is.

We are committed to protect your privacy and this page will explain which information we collect, how we use it and how your privacy is protected.

Bookings and personal information

When you make bookings or fill in contact form on the website we collect the data shown in the required fields form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Personal Information We Collect in order to process bookings made on our website could include some of the following information:

  1. Full name, birth date or kennitala (Icelandic ID number), e-mail address, contact phone number
  2. Your nationality and / or country of residence
  3. Data related to room occupation: room type, number of guests, bed preferences, special requests
  4. Payment data, which can include credit card details information or preferred payment method
  5. Your personal requests, which can reflect on some personal and sensitive matters, such as religion beliefs, food preferences and allergies.

Personal data which is necessary for us to be able to confirm your booking at our apartments is marked accordingly in the relevant booking form with a star sign (*). If you are not able to provide the necessary personal data we might limit the service offered.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Our visitors should know that some data may be automatically collected through the standard operation of our internet servers and through the use of “cookies”. The information collected in such ways is not personal information.

We use cookies to understand the type and measure visits to our website. We use Google Analytics which helps us to trace the main statistics about visits to our website. From our side, we do take all reasonable steps to protect your personal Information and we only share it with our employees who need the information to perform their duties (for example cleaning).
